Congratulations
This session the girls did the Healthy Heart badge and the Designer Badge, both of these badges were newly introduced in January so it is the first time any of the girls have completed them.
To complete the Healthy Heart badge the girls:-
- designed healthy food posters
- completed exercise charts
- devised new games to keep brownies fit
- and wrote anti-smoking poems.
They also compiled a healthy lunch cook book. At the end of it all they did a sponsored walk round Lanark Loch with parents and friends.

Or do things that will spoil your health

For the Designer badge the girls had to:-
- design a new Brownie badge
- design a gadget for the future
- and find out about a famous designer and bring in information about them.
They also designed posters to advertise Brownies and finally they all designed a t-shirt. We held a mini fashion show for all the parents and the girls modelled the t-shirts which they had all made and which went really well. You can see photos of this in our Gallery click here to take a look.

Eight new Brownies completed their "Welcome to Brownies" challenge and made their promise in September 2008. We had a High School Musical theme and all the girls made cheerleader pom poms.
Each of the new Brownies was presented with their yellow Promise Badge and a special yellow Brownie Box containing their Brownie Adventure Book and Brownie Badge Book. They were also given a certificate to mark their Brownie Birthday.
We would like to give a special big welcome and congratulations to all our new Brownies.
