Meet Our Leaders

	Brown Owl - Alison Miller (Guider In Charge) A working mother with two young daughters, Alison has been warranted for over 14 years and working with 1st Carluke Brownies for over 15 years. She has also held a pack holiday license for 7 years.
	Swan - Elaine Duffy (Assistant Guider) A working mother with two young sons, Elaine has been working with 1st Carluke Brownies for several years. In addition to her Guiders' Warrant, Elaine holds a first aid qualification and is hoping to complete her pack holiday licence next year.
All guiders have gone through the appropriate disclosure checks.

 

1st Carluke Brownies meet every Tuesday in Carluke Guide Hall. We take a weekly collection of £2. The money goes towards hall rent and electricity, pack funds and an Annual Census Subscription.

 

At 1st Carluke Brownies we have four sixes, they are...

Hedgehogs	Squirrels	Rabbits	Foxes

 

Every week we have an inspection. The girls should bring:

	notepad and pencil
	plaster
	hankie
	safety pin
	soft shoes
	outdoor waterproof jacket
	brownie box
	brownie adventure and badge book

 

Brownie uniforms can be purchased at the Guide shops in Glasgow and Edinburgh or at selected retail outlets in Wishaw and East Kilbride. The can also be purchsed via the website www.girlguiding.org.uk.

A yellow box and workbooks will be provided by the unit for each girl. This will be presented once they have completed their Promise Badge.
